The Elite Kumite 1 & 2 programs are athlete development programs delivered through our sister club, Ascend Performance Karate Club. These programs are designed for athletes looking to take their competitive kumite training to the next level and pursue competition at the provincial, national, and international levels.
Through Ascend Performance Karate Club, athletes will develop the technical skills, tactics, conditioning, and competitive experience needed to succeed against a wide variety of fighting styles. The program provides a clear competitive pathway for developing athletes, including exposure to high-level competition and opportunities to pursue selection to Team Newfoundland & Labrador and beyond.
